Researching in Person

Perth County Residents researching in person: no charge

Non-Perth County Residents researching in person: $5.00 per day or $25.00 per year

Researching by Mail, Telephone and E-mail

• General Research (eg. checking indexes) $25.00 per hour

• Specific Inquiry (eg. obituary with exact date) $5.00 per item

Photocopying

Use of personal cameras to make copies of archives holdings is prohibited.

Photocopies of archives holdings can be requested at each branch of the Stratford-Perth Archives. Generally, copies are prepared upon request though you may have to wait for large orders. The Archives reserves the right to limit or refuse requests for photocopying depending on the condition of the material to be copied and restrictions set by donors. Please note that copies are provided for research purposes only.  Permission to use material for publication must be cleared with copyright holders.

• Photocopies: $0.30 per copy (all paper sizes)
• Reader/Printer photocopies: $0.50 per copy

Other Types of Copies

As with photocopies, the Archives reserves the right to limit or refuse requests for copies of materials in any media depending on the condition of the material to be copied and restrictions set by donors. Please note that copies are provided for research purposes only.  Permission to use material for publication must be cleared with copyright holders.

  Image scanning: $10.00 per image
  Photo Reprint 5 X 7: 10.00 per item
  Photo Reprint 8 X 10: 15.00 per item

• Certified Copies of Documents: $5.00 per document

Custom Conservation Work:

Archives staff are available to complete conservation work on your documents such as cleaning and encapsulating in mylar.

The base fee is $25.00 per hour plus the cost of any materials needed.
